And the nominations are:

Felipe Luis had a superb game – possibly helped by the fact that being in the West Lower I was much closer to the action. Impeccable in defence he was also a constant and very creative force down the flank and combined with Hazard beautifully.

Talking of Eden Hazard, he had a blinder and tore Maribor and their hapless defenders apart. They put two and three men on him most of the time and still he went past them. Twisted blood springs to mind. When he is in this mood he is virtually unplayable.

John Terry put in a performance that defied his age. The goal he scored being the perfect example of that. OK, he didn’t have too much to deal with at the back, but the way he helped Zouma through the game was a masterclass in the master and apprentice role. A proper display from a proper captain and clearly still a world class defender and player. Long may he reign! To cap it off, Ross gave him 10/10 in the player ratings – something he has only done once or twice!
