And the nominations are:

Funnily enough exactly the same as they were for the Chelsea v Spurs game:

Eden Hazard – below his best admittedly, but even a below par Hazard put in a better performance than most if his colleagues. Was at the heart of most good things Chelsea did, and nearly equalised when he hit the post.

Willian, put in yet another energetic performance and had some of our best chances – sadly they were not quite good enough to find the back of the net, much like the team as a whole.

Drogba came on in the second half and going up top with Costa, changed the shape and galvanised the team in to action. Scored a goal which gave Chelsea the impetus to throw the kitchen sink at Newcastle for the last 10-15 minutes. He gave Newcastle something to think about at last, and his amazing goal scoring record this season continues. On today’s evidence he’s still Chelsea’s number one striker!

If you want to vote for the Man of the Match then all you have to do is vote below. We will be revealing the results and discussing what we voted for on the Chelsea FanCast on Monday 8th December. Wilian. Hustled all over the pitch. No shooting boots but I love a full effort.

  8. John says:

I though Mikel did ok – he actually got forward and looked comfortable on the ball

Would have been Willian if it were not for his lack of killer finishing. So Drogba gets it for me.

Drogba. Willian would have got it if he finished better
